    History of St. Valentine's Day.
In the calendar we have one day to express our love to others, but why on February 14?
St. Valentine was a Christian priest who secretly married soldiers, because the Romans believed that single men performed better on the battlefield. For this he was imprisoned and he died on February 14, years later Pope Gelasius declared that day as the day of lovers.
In Mexico we celebrate that day giving presents to people who love, like flowers, balloons, chocolates or may be letters where we declaring our love.
For all the people who loves somebody this is the perfect day to show their love or their friendship with someone.

    Independence Day

The Independence Day (July 4) is a federal holiday in the USA, celebrating the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The celebrations have deep roots in the American tradition of political freedom. This day is celebrated with fireworks, some carnivals, barbecues, concerts, family reunions, ceremonies and other stuff. Many people display the American flag on their homes. Also, other symbols associated with Independence Day are the Statue of Liberty on Ellis Island in New York and the fireworks viewed all over the United States. This day, government offices and schools are closed (yeah!) and as a curious fact, if July 4 is a Saturday, it is observed on Friday, July 3, and if July 4 is a Sunday, it is observed on Monday, July 5.

    ♣♣New Year's Day♣♣

New Year's Day falls on January 1 and marks the start of a new year according to the Gregorian calendar. It marks the end of New Year's Eve celebrations in the United States and gives many Americans a chance to remember the previous year.

The start of New Year's Day, at midnight, is heralded by fireworks, parties and special events, which are often televised. For many it is a day of recovery from the New Year's Eve celebrations the previous night. In some towns and cities, parades are held and special football games are played. The birth of the first baby in the New Year is often celebrated with gifts to his or her parents and appearances in local newspapers and on local news shows. Many people make New Year's resolutions. These are usually promises to themselves that they will improve something in their own lives. Common New Year's resolutions are to stop smoking or drinking alcohol, to lose weight, exercise more or to live a healthier lifestyle.

    The Christmas

The Christmas day is a universal holiday, is celebrated on December 25th, the principals characters in this holiday are Santa Claus and Jesus, the second character is more important than Santa Claus because this date is concidered his birthday in the Christianity.
